Perfect Timing - Your Free Metronome!
As you’ll no doubt have been told many times in your life ‘Timing Is Everything’. Well, with guitar playing, as with playing any other instrument, it is most definitely true.
The Metronome is another essential tool, which will accelerate your guitar playing.

The Free Metronome
This is not only an essential tool, it’s also great fun to play with.
Actually this is a Beat Box, as well as a Metronome. You can set up the Beats Per Minute, and the Number of Beats per Bar, and off you go. It’s Free!
You can start with just a Kick drum, but then add in Snare, Hi Hat, and Toms etc. All the drums are individually controlled and can play on whichever beat you select, and at whatever volume. Hours of fun!
But also, a very practical too. Whenever you’re playing or practicing, it’s good to have a Metronome going in the background, to get you to automatically think about keep time. This is absolutely essential when learning songs.
Anyway here’s the link to download it (it’s just a Flash file so should work fine across all platforms). http://www.whichguitarsite.com/blog/metronome.zip
OK that’s it for now, but I’m also working on another Freebie for you, which I shouldn’t actually be giving away, but can’t resist.
Finally keep your comments coming, as l really want to find some great solutions to your Guitar frustrations.
3 commentsYour Number 1 Guitar Frustration
Learning guitar clearly has its frustrations. But, if it were too easy, then everyone would be able to do it, and it would loose its appeal and uniqueness.
However staying motivated is a real battle, and small frustrations can be a real obstacle, particularly when you’re just starting out. And, despite the wealth of information, advice, and lessons about playing guitar on the web, finding the right solution to your frustration, is still not easy.
In fact, just trying to FIND the solution on the web, is probably THE BIGGEST FRUSTRATION OF ALL!!
Anyway, having scoured the web, researching and analysing hundreds of sites, we’ve built up an extensive database of knowledge, which we’d like to share, to help everyone advance their guitar playing, and remove some of the barriers to progress.
Please add your frustrations below and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction. Alternatively you can email me research@whichguitarsite.com Rgds Jon, Researcher, WhichGuitarSite

But the Blog is about us sharing our findings and experiences, and to uncover new great sites, to help others really accelerate their guitar playing, to the next level.
Your input will enable us to continue to shape our ongoing research, to better meet your needs. So, if you’ve got any feedback for us, then please add your comments here. Regards, Jon Henderson, research@whichguitarsite.com
5 commentsFree Training For Your Ears!
Setting up your guitar correctly, and developing a natural sense of pitch, are two real fundamentals of developing your guitar playing skills.
The Pitch Coach is a Free piece of software created by William Cooper, to develop and enhance your natural sense of pitch. It’s available for both Mac and PC platforms, and although it has a rather basic interface, it does the same job as many of the other paid for products on the market. Oh, and it’s actually fun to play with!
Every time you sit down to play some guitar, just spend a few minutes on Pitch Coach, and you’ll be amazed how quickly you develop your sense of pitch.
Here’s the PC Version - For Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP (566 KB)
And here’s the Mac Version - For Mac OS X (742 KB)
Do let me know what you think of this software. Regards Jon

For those people who had problems with the .sit file (compressed by Stuffit), i’ve got here the Flash file compressed as an .zip file which should work better with PCs. Therefore once you download it, you should be able to double click the file to open it. Hopefully! If you still can’t play it, then you may need the latest Flash player which you can download free at this link:
