Research Criteria – Lesson Content Volume (Quantity)

Now whilst this is not a key criteria in terms of define whether a particualr site is good or not, it is important to know that there is enough material to keep you interested, and to help you as you progress and your needs change.

Having said that, there's greater emphasis within this reseach on quality rather than quantity. This is not an absolute score, but a relative one. Having studied so many web sites we came to the following scoring, where random collections of generic lessons score poorly, compared to structured groupings of focused lessons.

Minimal number of generic lessons : 1-4 points
Average number of generic lessons: 5-8 points
Small number of structured, and genre/skill focused lessons: 9-12 points
Medium number of structured, and genre/skill focused lessons: 13-16 points
Large number of structured, and genre/skill focused lessons: 17-20 points
